Officers and Directors

The Directors are selected by the residents through an election process, and represent the interests of the residents. They derive their power from the Articles of Incorporation, the By-Laws, the Lake Coral Springs Association Declaration, and various state laws specific to Home Owner’s Associations. Their role is to set strategic direction, define plans, authorize the executive decisions of the Officers, to be the custodian of the reserve accounts, and to ensure the welfare of the common elements within the community. The Board also selects and replaces Officers.

The Officers are the executive team that runs the Association. Under the Articles of Incorporation, this Association is required to have a President, Secretary and Treasurer. The office of Vice President was optionally created as a backup position. Officers are ultimately accountable for the management and oversight of the community, including defining policy, determining priorities and budget, and selecting or approving service providers. Although the President and Secretary must be Board members, this is not a requirement for other offices.
